About The Rifles ArmA Unit History of The Rifles ArmA Unit: The unit was set up in May 2006 by Griff in an attempt to make a gaming unit for Armed Assault that could be realistic to an extent possible within the ArmA environment. This was to incorporate role play and could only be successful if enjoyment was made paramount. To this day this has continued and the unit has had success in progressing to what it it today. Well regarded within the community, many of its players have been playing together through ArmA and Operation Flashpoint for over 5 years.
